Students Complete New Trail for Native Classroom

by: Ryan F. '27
On May 20, Life Scout Ryan F. '27 completed his Eagle Scout Project in Shorecrest's Native Classroom. The project is dedicated to the students at Shorecrest with the purpose of preventing erosion and providing safety for students. After 6 months of planning, fundraising, and building, the project has been completed with the help of Troop 219 Boy Scouts and other volunteers. A new path is ready to use after over 245 hours of work. 27 individuals participated in the construction of the trail, including Shorecrest students.

Ryan would like to thank his Shorecrest eighth grade science teacher and mentor Kathryn Jeakle, and his Scoutmaster John Tredo, for their support and guidance.
