Chargers Track and Field at Florida State Meet

by: Coach Cameron
Select Varsity Track and Field Chargers competed at the Florida State Meet. The girls placed 21st, the boys placed 15th.

The track meet started two hours late due to weather. The Chargers won their first state title of the day when back-to-back state champion Sonoma Kasica '24 set a mark of 44.78 in the javelin. That throw made her the first athlete to win three state titles in three different years. The second title came when Ahmad Crumity '25 won the triple jump title on his very last jump (13.62m), which was good enough to outlast another round of jumpers.
