Alpha Ice Cream Tasting
Alpha students in Ms. Sweet and Mrs. Dominique's class learned how to make 3 different flavors of ice cream: chocolate, mango, and mint chocolate chip! Before they started cooking, they discussed the ingredients they thought might be in each flavor. Then they compared their ideas to actual ice cream recipes. The teachers were very impressed by the children's growing knowledge of ice cream ingredients!
In the Experiential School kitchen students helped measure, stir, and whisk ingredients together to make a liquid ice cream mixture. After chilling it for several hours, the children loved watching the mixture churn in the ice cream maker to become the delicious frozen treat that we all know and love!
