ANNOUNCEMENTS AND UPDATES FOR EXPERIENTIAL SCHOOL FAMILIES

by: Adriana Hollenbeck, Head of The Experiential School of Tampa Bay
SeeSaw Portfolios
Throughout the school year, teachers have thoughtfully documented each student’s educational journey and individual development through the use of digital portfolios. The portfolio is a wonderful collection of anecdotes, videos, and images of student-created work documenting growth across the developmental domains.

You have viewed parts of the portfolio at both Fall and Spring conferences alongside your child’s classroom teacher. Now you will have the opportunity to view your child’s complete portfolio!

Later this week you will receive a printed invite with a QR code to connect to your child’s portfolio. Directions on how to create an account to access the portfolio can be found HERE.  The portfolio may be viewed through the free Seesaw Parent and Family app available through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The portfolio can also be viewed online via a computer.

Note: Families who already have a Seesaw account do not need to register for a new one. You will just use the personalized QR code to access your child’s class for the 2021-2022 school year once you are logged in.

Additionally, parents/guardians can download a .zip archive of this portfolio to keep as a record of their child’s learning this year. Family members will have until June 30, 2022, to download a copy of their child’s portfolio.

Instructions to create a .zip downloadable archive of your child’s portfolio can be found at the following link: https://help.seesaw.me/hc/en-us/articles/208754866-

Celebrate your child’s growth and take time to enjoy milestone moments together! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or problems accessing your child’s portfolio.

Dr. Bianco and I are looking forward to creating the new group of Grade Representatives for the upcoming school year. We will need 8 parents for rising JK and 8 for rising Kindergarten. If you are interested in becoming a Grade Representative, please send a message to ahollenbeck@shorecrest.org. Thank you in advance for considering being a part of this group! You'll get a fun, behind-the-scenes look at the School!
