Excitement is building for a much needed Thanksgiving break! During our Morning Meeting today, we were treated to a short video produced by Student Council in which students were asked what they were thankful for. Yes, there were few lighthearted remarks, but so many students expressed thankfulness for their parents, family, and friends. I spent my Saturday afternoon in Lakeland watching our talented football team clinch the state title and I spent my evening being wowed by the talents of our students performing in the Fall Showcase. At both events, the support from cheering fans was immense. If I am to join the gratitude bandwagon, I would say that this past weekend reminded me to be thankful for being part of a school like Shorecrest that so consistently celebrates student life outside the classroom; and for the students who give it their all to make those events so worthwhile!
