ANNOUNCEMENTS AND UPDATES FOR EXPERIENTIAL SCHOOL FAMILIES

by: Adriana Hollenbeck, Head of The Experiential School of Tampa Bay
Transitioning to/from Long Term Flexible Learning
Monday, October 11, is a Flex In/Out date for students on Long Term Flexible Learning. If your student is on Long Term Flex and intends to return on Monday, please let me know as soon as possible. If students do not return on Monday, October 11, they are committed to Long Term Flexible Learning for another 9-week period. Similarly, if you would like your child to enroll in Long Term Flexible Learning for a medical reason for the next 9 weeks, please let me know as soon as possible.

Old Cameras
The Experiential School is looking for gently used cameras that have been sitting in your closets for way too long without being used. If you have one of these, please let us know if you would like to make a donation so our children can experiment with another tool that we can use to take pictures.

Illness
All students are expected to follow the sick policy and stay home if they are exhibiting any signs or symptoms of illness. If symptoms arise during the school day, the expectation is that parents will pick up the student within one hour of being notified by the nurse or office staff. Please review the 2021-2022 Family Handbook for more detailed information.

Carline
Thank you for having the children ready to go at the morning carline! Your help is greatly appreciated!

Pet Policy Reminder
Pets may accompany families in carline but must remain in the vehicle. In general, pets are not allowed in any School buildings or on any part of the campus (including but not limited to grassed areas near all buildings, all greens, quads, parking lots, athletic fields, roads, and walkways). The full pet policy may be found in the Family Handbook.

Welcome Ms. Grindey!
A few weeks ago we announced that Mrs. Nina Beggins, who was part of our JK team, would be joining Mrs. Craver as a lead teacher with the Alpha team. Nina, Claire and Brendi will be working together for two weeks to help with the transition. The Experiential School is excited to welcome Ms. Sara Grindey as our new JK Assistant, filling the position that used to be Nina’s. Sara is no stranger to our students and knows many of them from Summer Programs and After Care. Please join me in welcoming Sara to the JK team.
