July 31 Deadline to Purchase Tuition Refund Plan Insurance

TRP Insurance provides a 75% pro-rated refund upon a non-medical withdrawal, subject to conditions.
Shorecrest partners with A.W.G. Dewar to offer families the opportunity to purchase tuition protection plans. The Tuition Refund Plan provides a 75% pro-rated refund to families who withdraw from the school for a qualified, non-medical reason. There is a 100% pro-rated refund if the withdrawal is for a qualified, medical reason. This plan is available to all enrolled Shorecrest families. July 31 is the deadline to purchase this plan for the 2021-2022 school year.
There is no specific exclusion from coverage for pandemics like there is for other factors such as war or the complete closure of Shorecrest (i.e. no in-person nor distance learning). Therefore, if a family purchases the insurance, and then, after fourteen calendar days of attendance (in person/distance/a combo) decides to withdraw from the school for the entire remainder of the year, they would be covered under the Tuition Protection Insurance. Any distance learning days will be counted towards the requisite fourteen calendar day attendance requirement for non-medical withdrawals.
