Patrick Wilson (Shorecrest Class of 1991), the youngest of John and Mary K. Wilson’s boys, graduated from Tony-nominated performances in Broadway musicals to above-the-title roles in A-list films including Aquaman, Insidious, Running With Scissors, The A-Team and all three of the mega-hot movies in the Conjuring series. He received a Golden Globe nomination for the FX series Fargo.
In baseball and in life, sometimes you have to fail to succeed. It’s a lesson JC Barrott '22 knows well. "Baseball is a game of failure, so it’s really a life lesson that you have to keep failing at life in order to succeed,” Barrott said.
The Shorecrest Prep senior has had his share of strikeouts, but now, he’s a home-run hitter. With a .514 batting average, his statistics speak for themselves.

On Wednesday, May 18, 2022, Head of School, Nancy Spencer, welcomed Dr. Allen Root for a personal tour of the recently renovated Root Family Fine Arts Gallery adjacent to the Janet Root Theatre. A rededication established the space as the new home of the Janet Root Award for Excellence in Visual Arts.
