Shorecrest alumna Megan Freedman ‘16 is now a senior at the University of Florida (UF) and has dedicated much of her final year at UF on a passion cause, UF’s Health Shands Children’s Hospital (the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital) and the fundraising event Dance Marathon.
Over the course of the year we will be highlighting some of our Contributing Chargers, those members who have participated in Two Funds. One Mission., and sharing their stories of why they gave. Today’s Contributing Chargers, Sue Shin ‘94 and Daniel Kim, are a returning family to our community.
On March 6 during an Upper School assembly, Carolyn Sloss ‘85 will receive the 2019-2020 Alumni Distinguished Achievement Award. Carolyn has had an established and successful career as a communications professional. She is a Vice President with Allied Global Marketing and in 2001 opened its first office in the South where she oversees 30 employees as well as national account management and strategic planning. In addition to her successful career she has always remained civic minded. Carolyn volunteers with numerous nonprofit and service organizations and has made service a priority in her busy life.
