Celebrate Community & Service Learning on April 15

On Thursday, April 15, we will be celebrating our Shorecrest Community and Service Learning during our last Giving Day. Throughout the week, we will be recognizing those who enrich the Shorecrest experience for our students and community members by effecting change in their communities — locally and globally.

Show your love and support by making a gift:
  • Reflective of your student’s class year (i.e., 2021, $20.21)
  • In honor of someone who has positively impacted your Shorecrest experience. (i.e. a teacher who has made a challenging year easier)
A gift of any size will help us reach our goal of 100% current family participation. Give today online here.

Contributing Chargers

Shorecrest’s Mission is augmented by the generosity of our parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends who support the school philanthropically or by effecting change locally, globally or right here at Shorecrest. We call these community members Contributing Chargers.

This week’s Contributing Charger is Natalie Peck Spada ’96. As SCA co-Secretary and long-time community member, we ask her to share what it means to be a part of the Shorecrest Community.

Sixth Grade Keith Haring Project

In sixth grade art class, students are learning about pop artist and philanthropist Keith Haring. Haring became famous during the 20th century for his graffiti art in the subways of New York. The Chargers were so inspired by Haring and his focus on love, friendship and family, that they partnered with the Advancement Office to create thank you cards evocative of his style to share their appreciation for our community.

Construction Corner: Media Center

Our new Middle and Upper School Media Center will offer a place for students to research, study and explore their interests. There will be an arrangement of furniture styles and fabric colors for students to study in the environment that works best for them. The space will also include quiet study rooms to work alone or collaborate with classmates. Here is a never-before-seen, sneak peek of furniture for this new space.
